Autumn in My Heart / 가을동화

As I live in a tropical zone of South-East Asia, I always like to experience the actual four seasons such as admiring the sakura which signifies the entrance of spring time, picking fallen red maple leaves in autumn, showering (before freezing to death) under the real snow during winter and minusing the summer of course.

No matter how much I like to experience the spring, autumn and winter, I have not managed to cover them as they are usually peak seasons or school holidays, flight tickets are more costly or I just simply couldn't get away from work because almost everybody else in the office does!

I was hoping autumn would do me a favour by gracing Tokyo earlier when I was there this time. And, by making some reference to Tokyo Walker, I went to this park called 井の頭恩賜公園 (Inokashira Park). There, I have a glimpse of autumn. Even autumn was not fully bloomed yet, it would do for me, for now.

[The tiny name of the park from a distance]

[This kind of tree turned yellowish earlier than other trees in the park]

There were a lot of activities in the park:-

[Here, strangers become friends. The lady is playing with a dog belongs to the boy in red]

[There is a flee market in the park, some are selling paintings, artworks, accessories etc]

[Mothers accompany their young kids in the park]

[A little lakeside view]

[This lady is puting the landscape of the park through her artistic mind]

[There are people riding bicycle in the park, couples take slow stroll in the park, but this man chooses to be alone, builds an invisible wall from others]

Lastly, I would like to bring you this little performance from the park. This has been my version of the "Autumn in My Heart". I do apologiese if you expect the blog about the famous Korean drama^^

Alone in Tokyo

Japan is one of the most populated nations in the world. There are thousands of people walking on the street, taking the train and doing the daily chore everywhere. I used the JR (Japan Railways) or subway to visit most parts of Tokyo because it was easier than taking buses.

It was a rare moment from the picture shown above that no one was around the ticketing machines at that time. No usual long standing and waiting line of the Japanese or tourists in front of the machines and no rushing foot steps behind me eagered to overtake me. Within this few seconds (only) that I felt like I was alone in Tokyo!

The Drop Out

When we travel, we want to see everything and hope our eyes can take it many images and our brain can absord as many information as possible. But, today, I don't need much affort and this message registers instantly to my mind.

Japanese is generally perceived as a reserve nation, they don't express themselves freely and their pride is mighty high. So, when this person who left this message along the construction of JR (Japan Railway) line where thousand of pedestrian pass by and he or she signs off as The Drop Outs, I think it takes courage for this admission especially in this society.

[This is where the contruction is and where the messages are displayed]

The construction site is on the right hand side of the above picture. Probably I would be able to see the result of the major face lift the next time I come back to Tokyo.
